Paper, Order, or Assignment Requirements

You’ll note on the last slide in the last lesson, I ask the question as to where our literature is going in post-9/11 America? That is your assignment based on an analysis of what you’ve read this week and last (Kesey), and everything else this term if you wish. But you need to talk about Kesey and the moderns in unit 10. Don’t ramble with generalities – draw specifically on the novel and the poems. And ask and answer the question how writers can best respond to the world we now find ourselves living in based on what you’ve read. I know this is open-ended, and that’s the intention!! It should give you ample opportunity for reflection, analysis and reaching your own conclusions. There is no right or wrong per se, but you must validate your conclusions with examples from the works with which you’re working.
